July PYO Update

Rasberry 01

Just a quick update from the Pick Your Own fields…

We are very sad to say that strawberries are finished now. Unfortunately the poor weather earlier on in 2017 has produced the worst crop of strawberries we’ve ever had at Peterley and a lot of fruit never fully developed.

On a more positive note, we still have some raspberries, blackberries, blackcurrants and redcurrants.

We have some gooseberries left ,although these will soon be finishing, as will the broad beans that are currently available.

We are hoping that our lovely plums will be ready to pick quite soon, so stay tuned for updates on those!

If you’re planning on visiting the PYO soon then please remember to dress appropriately for the weather- hat, suncream and plenty of water for this heat. Please can we also remind you that our policy (as with all PYO farms) is to pay BEFORE eating the fruit, otherwise this is considered stealing and the police will be contacted.

We hope to see lots of you in the fields soon, Happy Picking!
