Film on the Farm Nights

Dates: 6:00pm, Saturday 28th August 2021 - 6:00pm, Sunday 29th August 2021

Join us on the farm this summer for a night of food and outdoor film in the yurt’s gardens and surrounding meadows.

Saturday 28th August: Rocketman Sing-a-long

Sunday 29th August: Pretty Woman

Doors will open at 6pm where you’ll be able to enjoy the sunset ambience, sit by the firepits and enjoy the outdoor game area. You will also be treated to a range of local pop-up food stalls:

Union Sourdough–  serving sourdough pizzas from their lovely little van

The Rocket Oven– flatbread middle Eastern ‘posh kebabs’ served from an airstream

The Swig and Filly– horsebox bar stocked wth local spirits, wines and cocktails

Wild Strawberry Cafe– hot drinks and snacks from the yurt cafe, plus picnic hampers available to pre-order

After the sun sets (we anticipate around 9pm/9.30pm) the movie night will commence in our beautiful meadow setting.

VIP guests will be treated to glass of prosecco upon arrival in their own VIP area. Once the film commences they can enjoy the pop-up cinema experience from front row luxury beanbags, whilst standard ticket holders can set up camp on the grass (bring your own chairs, blankets etc). Drinks and snacks will be available throughout the films. Please note “bring your own food and drink” is strictly prohibited at this event.

What type of tickets are there?

We have two types of ticket- standard admission and our VIP package. Standard tickets include entrance to our event from 6pm and the film showing- seating is on the grass and is unreserved.

We have a very limited number of VIP tickets. These include a welcome glass of fizz on arrival and luxury beanbag seating in the front rows of the cinema. Please note the beanbags will not be allocated to ticket holders so you may still like to arrive early to bag your ideal bag!

Due to the age rating of both films we do not have child admission available for this event.

What time does the event start?

Our doors will open at 6pm. There will be music, food and drink and firepits going from then on in. Please do arrive early to make the most of our farm and the gardens.

The film start time is governed by the sunset but we hope to start by 9.30pm and finish by 11.30pm.

Doors will close 30 minutes before the film start time.

What food and drink will be available?

We will be creating a mini ‘food and drink festival” in our yurt gardens. There will be bars, soft drinks, ice cream, pizzas, middle eastern street food, homemade snacks and much more.

“Bring your own” food and drink is strictly prohibited by our license.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Both films are classified as 15. We will only have adult tickets available for ages 15 and over.

Alcohol will be served from our fully licensed bars which will operate a ‘Challenge 25’ scheme, please ensure you bring appropriate ID if you wish to purchase alcohol.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

We have plenty of parking onsite at Peterley Manor Farm. Please note that you may be asked to park on the grass.

The closest train station is Great Missenden.

We are a short taxi ride from the station.

Is there seating provided? What should I bring?

There is no reserved seating unless you have booked our VIP package. The cinema is located in our meadow adjacent to the yurt, so there will be plenty of space and opportunity for a good view. It is a good idea to arrive early to save your spot and make the most of the sunset ambience, music and food and drink offerings.

Feel free to bring camping chairs but please be mindful of not blocking the view for other guests.

Make sure you dress appropriately, and bring extra layers as it can get surprisingly chilly after sunset. The event is taking place on a farm, we have mud, uneven surfaces and tractor ruts- please wear sensible shoes!

We recommend you bring plenty of blankets and cushions to get comfy. Torches are also advisable for the dark walk back to car.

In the case of rain, we do not allow umbrellas as these will obstruct the view of other attendees. Just don your wet weather gear and embrace the great British weather!

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Email us on and we will do our best to get back to you ASAP.

What’s the refund policy?

Due to the nature of this event we have a strict no refund policy. If you are unable to attend perhaps offer your ticket to friends or family. In the very unlikely event that we have to reschedule the event due to factors outside of our control, your ticket will be valid for the rescheduled date- unfortunately we cannot offer refunds in this case.

What about the Great British weather?

We have selected summer dates, which we hope will come up trumps with glorious sunshine and a balmy evening! However, screenings will go ahead in less favourable conditions and rain. Please do dress appropriately. In the unfortunate event of rain umbrellas are not permitted.

The only time an outdoor screening will be cancelled is in the event of severe extreme weather for example very high winds. In the event of extreme weather the date will be rescheduled.

Do you have disabled access?

Yes we are accessible however do bear in mind that the venue is in a field, and there may be uneven and muddy terrain to reach the cinema. We will have a disabled toilet available for the cinema evenings.
