Christmas Shopping with a Difference!

Date: 5:00pm - 7:30pm, Thursday 5th December 2019

The lovely people at Ashridge Home Care have joined forces with Peterley Manor Farm to host a Christmas special Dementia Friends event. You are invited to get into the festive spirit by browsing an excellent range of high quality, locally sourced gifts in the award-winning farm shop. Then you can settle down in the stunning yurt, home to the Wild Strawberry Café, to sample an array of artisan festive nibbles and sip spiced mulled apple juice or traditional mulled wine whilst learning more about Dementia and its impact.

Trudi Scrivener, founder of Ashridge Home Care, will talk about Dementia and how it affects us all. She will also talk about later life care planning and look at alternatives to residential care homes. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion in the informal Q&A session and Trudi will expand on how communities can support people living with dementia. Christmas is a time to pause and reflect on the important things around us – a time when we can look back on the year that has passed and prepare for the year ahead. This is an excellent opportunity to plan ahead for the future, be it yours or a loved one, in a relaxed, fun, yet safe environment.

This is a FREE event sponsored by Ashridge Home Care and Peterley Manor Farm. Come along with a group of friends and enter the festive spirit whilst considering Dementia and its impact upon you and loved ones.
